PH up or baking soda (use 5# to raise 3points) mix in 5 gal water pour in front of inlets wait 3 hrs test again PH down or muratic acid (caution use extreme care keep off liner and deck) use 1 1/2 cups mixed in 5 gal of water to lower 3 points, test in 3 hr. 1lb. packs of supershock (mix in 5 gal water as recomended on pack,pour in front of inlets.Shock weekly when temp is over 88 and bi-weekly when below,also after a heavy swim load or rain.Water will look cloudy when in need of shock.) Algaecide as a preventive use as directions on bottle. Vinyl cleaner for walls and steps. Water clarifier to remove particals from water . Staintren to help prevent wall stains. Any chemical added to pool mix with 5 gal of water and pour slowly in front of inlets. If ph and clorine level is hard to stablize your total akalinaty needs to be checked and adj. same as you do on ph levels(sort of a supershock on ph) Water Level Keep water level at top screw in skimmer plate. When temp is hot in day and cool at night, pool will lose approxmatly 1/2 to 1" of water weekly. Pump Operation Always turn pump off when making changes in filter valves. It is suggested to run pump contineously to save on seal ware. Make a note of operating pressure when filter is clean. To backwash follow these steps. 1. turn off pump 2. press down on valve handle and turn to Backwash . 3. turn on pump run for 3 min. or until discharge is clear. 4. turn off pump 5. press down on handle turn to rinse. 6. turn on pump run for 30 sec. or until discharge is clear. 7. turn off pump 8. press down on handle turn to filter 9. turn on pump check pressure on guage Bottom drain valve 1/2 on skimmer valve full on. Polaris cleaner hookup 1. Make sure cleaner pump and valve are off 2. Put cleaner into pool and connect to fitting. 3. Turn on valve at cleaner pump. 4. Turn on cleaner pump. 5. To remove cleaner reverse steps 4-3-2-1 It is recomended to run cleaner 6 hr. weekly or as needed. Always store polaris cleaner head out of sunlight. Manuel Vac Hookup 1. connect pole head and hose together and put in pool. 2. hang end of hose over skimmer lip 3. place vac head over inlet and fill hose with water. 4. place end of hose into skimmer 5. turn off bottom drain and vac slowly Backwash filter after cleaning pool. Winterizing Pool When closing pool in fall wait until temp of water stays below 55 To shut pool down 1. turn off pump 2. remove:         2 plugs from pump         1 plug from filter         1 plug from cleaner pump remove gauge and sight glass from valve. If running pump in winter turn clorinator to full on with no clorine and open all line valves to prevent freezing.
